Moab, UT

What words can describe the beauty of this land? Moab, Utah is a land filled with brilliant colors: Deep, blood-red rocks; dusty green desert flora; deep-blue skies; billowy, pure-white clouds; beiges; oranges; pinks... you name it. And it's all arid and dry. It's truly some of God's best creation, in my humble opinion. Here are just some of the photos I took there...

People who've never experienced it say that there's nothing to see in the desert, but obviously, they're wrong. In fact, the pristine beauty in this area is magnificent! My family chides me for being so overtaken by this land. I find it difficult to articulate the immense feeling of awe and wonder I feel when I'm in this type of environment.

The three photos above are panorama shots. I've reduced them to 600 pixels wide so the can be viewed here, so I apologive that their real beauty can't be shown. Let me know if you'd like a copy of the large-format pictures.

Beyond that ledge at the bottom of this picture is about a 500 ft. drop! I didn't get too close to the edge because the winds were gusting at about 50 mph. I didn't want to chance falling into the canyon!

This picture reminds me of Mt. Sinai in "The Ten Commandments." And no, it's not real. I actually combined two pictures together to get this effect.

I'll tell you what.... there is absolutely nothing like capturing a great sunset!!! And these are about as pretty as I've ever seen!
