Saint Jude Tribute
Saint Jude - Patron Saint of Hopeless Causes
This area is dedicated to the Patron Saint of Hopeless and Impossible Causes, Saint Jude. It wasn't until recently that I actually started praying for his intercessions, but I've found that since I have asked for them, I've experienced a certain, distinct power that uplifts me. And because of this, I've decided to create a section on our site, devoted to him.

Now why Saint Jude? Well, as many of you may know, our family is in a bit of dire straits right now. Faced with me not having a job for several months (thank God! I found one finally), we're pretty tapped out, and are on the brink of having to move out of our house and put it up for sale. But all things considered, we don't want to move. Our virtually impossible cause is to stay in this house and in this neighborhood where our kids have friends, where we're close to our parish, and where we originally planned to stay for decades. For some of you with whom we've shared our situation, it's not about fear of failure, or feeling as if we've failed. This is our home. So in consideration of the above, our petition is simply this: Saint Jude, we ask for your petitions to have the Holy Spirit guide us towards the appropriate people, places, and things that will allow us and empower us to remain in our home.

I realize that it really is up to us, but it doesn't hurt having friends provide valuable spiritual and moral support.

If you'd like to find out more about the biography of Saint Jude, there's no better site than this - The Shrine of Saint Jude.

Also, here is the standard novena prayed to Saint Jude...

Holy Saint Jude, Apostle and Martyr, great in virtue and rich in miracles, near kinsman of Jesus Christ, faithful intercessor of all who invoke your special patronage in time of need, to you I have recourse from the depth of my heart and humbly beg to whom God has given such great power to come to my assistance.

Please help in my present and urgent petition
{Here, describe the nature of your own personal need}

In return, I promise to make your name known and cause you to be invoked. Saint Jude, pray for us and all who invoke your aid. Amen.

The Novena should be said for nine consecutive days. After reciting the Novena, say three Our Fathers, three Hail Marys and three Glorias.
